Meet the Owner: Rick
As owner/operator of Rick Lindbeck Design and Exclusive Custom Homes, Rick has designed hundreds of projects. These projects range from additions and renovations to new builds to finished basement designs.
Rick began his career working at a design and building firm which provided him with the practical experience to, not only to design, but to see the vision through the building phase. This experience means Rick truly understands what the finished product will look like and how to design it in the best possible way.
Owning his own residential design company for the past 15 years has only added to this design expertise. Rick’s design projects can be seen throughout the entire Southeast Michigan region and spread as far as Traverse City.
Rick has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technical University and an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Northern Michigan University.
Meet The Owner: Matt
Matt’s involvement in the building industry began over 16 years ago. Following his graduation from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction, Matt developed his management and customer skills with a major home builder for three years.
In 2006, he started his own home renovation business. Since then, Matt has led the renovation of hundreds of houses ranging from kitchens to major projects exceeding 5000 square feet.
Matt operates with a team approach—first by understanding what his customers want, then delivering results through strong working relationships with all of his trade partners. He regularly works with well-known interior decorators on projects. He enjoys working closely with his clients through all phases of the project, from design to product selections, through project completion. Matt provides all of his customers a project timeline before the project start and takes great pride in meeting that schedule.
In summary, understanding what his customer wants and delivering it on schedule and on budget while exceeding expectations is Matt’s top priority.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and enjoying northern Michigan.
Meet the Decorator: Jennifer
Jennifer graduated from Albion College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Print Making and Communications, and continued her education with postgraduate studies in Interior Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jennifer had the privilege of honing her skills under the mentorship of renowned designers such as Sally Henderson of New York City and Claudia Aquino of Atlanta. These experiences profoundly shaped her approach and style, allowing her to develop a unique and versatile design perspective.
Jennifer’s passion for design and dedication for learning led her to Schoolcraft College, where she earned a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.
Jennifer has over 20 years design experience and is passionate about creating spaces that truly reflect the client and their unique design tastes. As a designer, she draws inspiration from the natural surroundings of the home and environment to guide her selections of colors and finishes. By integrating elements from the outdoors, she creates interiors that are not only visually appealing, but also harmoniously connected to their external settings. Her approach ensures that each space feels cohesive and inviting. She looks forward to designing an interior that represents your personality and style. Beyond her professional life, Jennifer spends her time traveling, golfing, baking and visiting staff and patients at Corwell Health with her therapy dog Blue.
